Bio

Round Barn recording artist Carry Me Ohio is a four-piece Indie Rock band based in Boulder, Colorado.

Carry Me Ohio's songs can best be described as Indie/Americana/Rock, with sounds that are derived from folk, country, rhythm & blues, rock & roll, and pop, as well as classical music. The individual members are experienced musicians and performers, each having a deep and diverse catalog of projects to their credit. The band's sound continues to grow organically, as their varied influences are melded together to create a unique musical expression.

Nine months after the original members of Carry Me Ohio met in 2009, they recorded their first album at Altitude Studios on Sugarloaf Mountain, in the foothills west of Boulder. In the fall of 2010, their self-produced debut Oak and Iron Bound was released.

In 2013, they were signed by label Round Barn Recordings. Their debut album with the label, Stonewall, was recorded and produced by Jesse Zimmerman (The Pretty Sure, Esther Sparks and the Whiskey Remedy) and Mark Venezia (Pavement, Blonde Redhead) along with the band, at Boulder’s Wind Over the Earth Studios. It was released on April 18, 2017.

The members of Carry Me Ohio currently live in Colorado, but only one of them is actually native to the state – the rest of the band found their way out West and adopted this state as their own. Although their social backgrounds are varied, they all have a common thread in their love of great music.
